A $40.7 million injection from the Federal Government has enabled Federation University Australia, Berwick Campus to embark on a on a major re-development. An additional 758 bachelor places will become available in 2019 and will increase to 1,000 in 2020 and 3000 by 2022. read more

There is an urgent need for a new approach to engaging young people with their schooling to maintain enrolment retention. Youths who cease their education prematurely are vulnerable to unemployment, risk-taking behaviour and criminal activity. Berwick College and Pakenham Secondary School will benefit the most from a successful $1.5 million injection from the Federal Government for several schools across Victoria. read more

Ferny Creek, Sassafras, Olinda, Mount Dandenong and Kalorama have received Federal Funding fought for by Jason Wood MP, the Federal Member for La Trobe to the tune of $2.5 million towards a $5.78 million project dubbed the Ridge Walk which will provide a 14 km walking trail which will connect villages in the Ranges via a series of pathways and networks. read more

It is hard to believe it has been over a year since the launch of La Trobe’s state of the art, arts, cultural, leisure and entertainment precinct. With $10 million of Federal Funding fought for by Jason Wood MP, the Federal Member for La Trobe, the project has put the electorate on the map and delivered local employment, localised entertainment and community based facilities. read more
