Jason Wood Delivers $49,000 for Officer Tennis Club
Federal Member for La Trobe Jason Wood today officially turned on the new LED lights at Officer Tennis Club.
The project has been delivered by Officer Tennis Club and received a total of $49,000 in funding from the Morrison Government to invest in LED lights installation at Officer Tennis Club. An additional $10,000 is provided to deliver an upgrade to the Officer Tennis Club.
“Upgrading current halogen court lights to more environmentally sustainable LED lights will reduce club operation cost by 65%, allowing for funds to be diverted to other initiatives. Increase LUX brightness will escalate participation at night with access for all in the community.”
Local Liberal MP Jason Wood said the project to upgrade the Officer Tennis Club was a key priority for him as the local Liberal MP because of the significant benefits for the Officer community.
Jason Wood said sport played an important role across the Officer region and the benefits of the Liberal Government investment in the facilities will be felt right across the community.
“The funding for this important community project is only possible because of the Morrison Government’s plan for a stronger economy.
“I’m proud to have fought for this project and delivered the funding for my local community and am proud to be seeing it through to fruition.”
